CNW 1385
CNW 1385 is based out of New Freedom Wisconsin.  A few years back I lived at the edge of town on the old Rock Island (Chicago Northwestern at that time, UP now) spine line.  Our property adjoined the tracks.  I was out in the back yard one day and heard a steam whistle in the distance.  I grabbed the camera and ran out to the tracks just in time to see 1385 come across a low trestle and around the curve.  I managed to get three pictures of the train as it passed.

Later on that year the 1385 stopped in town to take on water while on a good will mission across the system.  There were so many people there to greet her that it was difficult to get a decent  picture.  The picture of this visit was taken as she entered the center of town on the CNW (now DM&E) mainline.  Notice the CNW covered wagons coupled behind her for insurance.
